Local recording can continue without internet on a properly designed system, but remote viewing and online alerts require a working connection.
How do continuous and activity-based recording differ?
Continuous recording captures video throughout the selected schedule. Activity-based recording saves footage when supported detection rules are triggered. The right approach depends on the space and retention goals.
